Broadcaster's baby son gets scholarship offer from Syracuse

Adam Schein's son has a scholarship offer to Syracuse. No, he's not in high school. Or even grade school. Or even preschool.

The broadcaster, who went to Syracuse, posted a picture of the scholarship offer for his baby son on Instagram. Yes, you'll notice that he's a member of the class of 2032, though we're wondering if he should be a member of the class of 2033. Theo Schein is a month old, and unless he plays up, he won't turn 18 until 2033.

How old does that make you feel?

We're laughing at the 6-1, 200 requirement as part of the letter. Syracuse may end up ruing the provision if Theo is a 5-10 slot receiver who sets high school records and is thus disqualified from the offer.

However, we're also going to guess that the probabilities are high that Scott Shafer and his staff won't be at Syracuse. We're not necessarily predicting that Shafer will be fired anytime soon, we're just aware of the fact that only six coaches in FBS – Frank Beamer, Bob Stoops, Kirk Ferentz, Gary Patterson, Mark Richt and Gary Pinkel – were hired at their schools before 2004.
